Service of the windshield wiper motor requires removal of wiper pivot arms together with the cowl grille panel. First disconnect the electrical connector from the windshield wiper motor and then remove the three bolts that secure the windshield wiper motor assembly by tightening them to 8 Nm (71 lb-in) when reinstallation. Reinstall the assembly after closing it up by undoing the steps of removal.
