  A: The first step for servicing or repairing the cruise control servo requires disconnecting its speed control actuator electrical connector. After disconnecting the speed control actuator electrical connector you should remove the bolts that secure the speed control actuator and detach the actuator. Press the locking tab after which rotate the speed control cable cover counterclockwise to unhook it from the housing and take out the cable. Gravity pressure on the spring retainer allows you to remove the core wire end from the speed control actuator pulley which disconnects the speed control actuator cable. Before turning the speed control actuator cable cover clockwise you must apply downward pressure to it. The completion procedure follows the reverse sequence of the removal process.
