How to Service and Repair the Motor and Transmission Mount on 2005 Ford Thunderbird?

A service or repair of the transmission mount requires the vehicle to be placed in NEUTRAL position on a hoist with transmission support from a transmission jack. You must remove first the outside screws from the rear transmission mount before tightening them to 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.) during the installation process. After removing the central screw from the rear transmission mount users must restore it to 40 Nm (31 ft. lbs.) before reinstalling it. After you remove the rear transmission mount you should reinstall it by performing the reverse order of the removal steps.
