How to service and repair the power window switch on 2005 Ford Thunderbird?

The first step of power window switch servicing starts with removing a screw from beneath the door handle cup cover before working on the switch plate screws mounted on the door panel. You must first raise the front part of the switch plate while moving it toward the front until it releases from the plate. The electrical connector and window control switch need to be separated before taking out the switch itself. Installation of the new switch requires following the steps in reverse order to the removal process.
