How to remove the front Center Console Base on 2005 Lincoln Aviator?

Start by fully pushing both front seats forward before taking off bolt covers that hold the floor console. First dismantle the console's two floor bolts before reinstalling them at 5 Nm torque. Shift front seats to their maximum back position while disabling the secondary air bags. Insert the foam gasket properly into its correct location on the trim panel before placing back any other components. Detach the floor console side finish trim panel slowly by removing one clip at a time without breaking or distorting the part. Start by taking out the cup holder/ash receptacle insert and then pulling the floor console finish panel screw. Use the tab at the back to gently pop out the shift control bezel from its position attached to the floor console finish trim panel for successful removal of the trim panel. Unscrew the screws beneath the floor console finish panel and under its side finish trim panels before tightening them to 5 Nm during assembly. To access the bulkhead electrical connection, tilt the floor console back and disconnect it. Then take out the floor console. Reinstall the system by following the steps you used during removal and enable the supplementary safety mechanisms.
