The service process begins by disconnecting the mass air flow (MAF) electrical connector before extracting the bolt that secures the air filter box assembly. Both components need to be tightened to 4 Nm (35 lb-in) after installation is finished. Service of the air filter box requires complete removal of the air filter box assembly to reach the air filter element and the air filter box tray should be split from the air filter box cover by unsnapping it.
