The front parking brake cable servicing requires releasing the parking brake control through the parking brake release handle. Uphold the vehicle through hoisting then pull down the parking brake adjuster clip to achieve maximum braking effect on the control. By pressing on top of the parking brake adjuster clip customers can lock the adjuster before releasing the parking brake control. The installer should first disconnect the LH parking brake rear cable and conduit from the front parking brake cable and conduit at the cable connector. Then they should press the retaining tabs to remove the front parking brake cable and conduit retainer from the bracket. The next step requires disconnecting the parking brake cable bracket followed by vehicle lowering and removing pushpins to separate the close-out panel. The parking brake control requires the removal of the front parking brake cable and conduit before pushing the cable down and taking out both components completely. Install the component by following the reverse steps of the removal method and regulating the parking brake cable tension properly.
