How to service the battery cables on 2006 Ford F-250 Super Duty?

Service of the battery cables requires removal of the battery power source. Put the screw aside with the battery ground cable terminal before screwing it to 10 Nm (89 lb-in) torque when reinstalling. When installing the brake the bolt must be removed to position the battery cable harness bracket aside while tightening it to 9 Nm (80 lb-in). After removing the nut you should place the battery ground cable terminal aside but ensure a tight connection of 12 Nm (9 lb-ft) upon reinstallation. After removing the stud nut you should place the battery ground cable eyelet aside prior to securing it to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft). Set aside the starter solenoid wire terminal after removing its nut while tightening it to 5 Nm (44 lb-in) before installation. The starter solenoid positive cable terminal can be positioned aside after you remove the nut and tighten it to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft) for reinstallation. Install the generator B+ cable terminal and CJB cable terminal on their respective positions by tightening them with 8 Nm (71 lb-in). After disconnecting the starter relay electrical connector you must remove the battery cable assembly from its position. You should perform the opposite steps of removal when reinstalling the component.
