How to service the hood latch on 2006 Ford Focus?

Service of the hood latch requires you to first detach the three pin-type retainers and the radiator air deflector. First disconnect the electrical connector then remove the two hood latch bolts before installation where you should tighten them to 9 Nm (80 lb-in). Protect the radiator fins when handling the hood latch. Detach the hood latch release cable from the hood latch and proceed to rotate the assembly before removing it. The installation ends by repeating the removal actions in the reverse order.
