How to service and repair the exterior front door handle on 2006 Ford Freestar?

In order to maintain the exterior front door handle, loosen the door trim panel and loosen the actuating rods and alarm inhibit switch (unless absent). Then take out the three nuts and fasten them. To install, reverse the process and screw the nuts to 7 Nm (62lb-in).
