How to service and repair the ignition switch on 2006 Ford Freestyle?

In order to service the ignition switch, you must depower the SRS. Loose the upper steering column shroud, and then the lower one by unscrewing three screws. Unscrew the electrical connector, pull the locking tabs and take out the ignition switch. Take the old switch out and install the new switch in reverse.
