How to service and repair the ignition switch on 2006 Ford Mustang?

To maintain the ignition switch, de-power the SRS, pull off the upper and lower steering column shrouds, and pull off the connector to the ignition switch. Reversing the steps and re-powering the SRS, install the new switch. Do not turn the ignition lock cylinder and switch at the same time so as not to destroy the column.
