How to address issues with the Shift Indicator on 2006 Ford Taurus?

In order to fix the shift indicator, the finish panel of the floor console has to be removed. Next, remove the indicator bezel of the selector. Take out the indicator bulbs and wiring harness connectors off of the bezel. Once the bulbs have been removed, reinstall the bulbs in reverse.
