Use a permanent marker to tag the hood latch position and transform the two bolts using appropriate tools by setting the hood latch to the side. The hood latch service requires disconnecting both primary and secondary hood latch release cables before hood latch removal. Reinstallation starts with reversing the previous removal method before torquing bolts to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft). To complete the hood latch setup check both its placement and installation symmetry and apply lubrication for the latch after completion.
