2006 Lincoln Town Car Radiator Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service the radiator on 2006 Lincoln Town Car?
A: Start radiator servicing by removing first the cooling fan motor assembly with its shroud. The radiator sight shield can be detached by removing its pin-type retainers. Proceed by detaching the lower radiator hose before putting it aside. Tighten the two radiator support brackets bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) when reinstalling them. The bolt can be removed to place the A/C condenser and power steering cooler out of the way of the radiator so you can remove the radiator while tightening the bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). Recovery of hose clamps is prohibited because the installation requires worm-style clamps as replacements for constant tension clamps. The cooling system should be filled then bled during the final step of installing and reversing the removal process.
