How to Service the EGR Valve on 2006 Lincoln Zephyr?

In order to service the EGR valve, unplug battery and EGR electrical connector followed by the EGR tube fitting. Unscrew the valve bolts and get rid of the gasket. Install a new valve with tightening to 25 Nm and fitting to 40 Nm. Cleaning of surfaces should be carried out using a plastic tool and thereafter the removal process should be reversed.
