How to service and repair the ignition switch on 2006 Mercury Mariner?

To service the ignition switch, depower SRS, peel off Steering column covers and disconnect the ignition switch connector. Push down on the column, tap the tabs and draw out the switch. Install the new switch by reversing the steps and re- powering the SRS.
