How to service the brake light switch on 2007 Lincoln MKX?

It is necessary to make the electrical connector disconnected to service the brake light switch. Turn the switch clockwise by pushing the brake pedal with 1-4 N (1-3 lb) pressure and then in a clockwise direction 45 degrees to withdraw it. Installation should not touch the brake pedal apparatus and then turn the switch by 45 degrees and turn it back.
