How to Service the Camshaft Position Sensor on 2007 Lincoln MKZ?

In order to service the camshaft position (CMP) sensor, disconnect battery ground, air cleaner outlet pipe and the CMP sensor connector. Unscrew the sensor bolt and then unscrew the sensor. Wet the O-ring with clean engine oil and follow the steps in reverse placing the bolt on 10 Nm (89 lb-in) tight.
