At the start of front brake caliper maintenance work only select brake fluid that fulfills manufacturer criteria while always discarding any prior drained fluid to stop damage through contamination. The servicing operation requires first disabling any fire suppression system to minimize safety risks. First remove the tire along with the wheel before you detach the brake caliper flow bolt and discard both copper washers.
