How to service the sunroof or moonroof Air Deflector on 2008 Ford Escape?

Service of the sunroof or moonroof windguard begins when you position the roof opening panel glass to its full open condition. Beware that the air deflector retaining tabs will break if you attempt wrong handling while freeing the air deflector from the roof opening panel frame. Proceed by pressing both air deflector retaining tabs downwards towards the right side which allows you to unfasten the left-hand tab and move the air deflector left to remove the right-hand tab. Lift the front part of the air deflector to disengage the wire retainer and then take away the air deflector. Reverse the process used for removal to install the air deflector.
