How to Service and Repair the Power Steering Hose on 2008 Ford Expedition?

The power steering pump pulley needs removal as the first step to work on or service the power steering line. The first step includes removing two bolts which attach the oil drip shield though you must tighten these bolts to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft) when reinstalling. When replacing the power steering pressure line fitting on the power steering pump it should be tightened to a torque of 65 Nm (48 lb-ft). When reinstalling the power steering pressure line bracket to the crossmember maintain a bolt torque of 7 Nm (62 lb-inch). The power steering pressure line bracket's engine nut needs removal before installation but must be fastened at 40 Nm (30 lb-ft). To detach the power steering pressure line it begins with removing the power steering line clamp plate bolt. Users must then rotate the clamp plate before disconnecting the pressure line. Restoration requires tightening this line to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft). The inverse process of removal should be performed followed by power steering system filling.
