Service of the steering wheel starts with placing it at straight-ahead position along with removing the ignition key. Start by taking out the driver air bag module followed by discarding the steering wheel bolt that requires replacement with a new one to be tightened at 47 Nm (35 lb-ft) when installing it. Detach the steering wheel from its place followed by the disconnection of the steering wheel switches connector from the Clock Spring. The two driver air bag module electrical connectors and harness need to pass through the steering wheel before reinstalling the steering wheel and the driver air bag module.
