To maintain the deployable steering column, depower the SRS and deploy equipment in the field keeping people 9.14 meters away. Reach electrical connector by moving column downwards or removing it. Make a jumper harness using 20-gauge wires, attach to the column and install and use with a 12-volt battery. Allow 10 minutes to pass and make an approach.
