How to service the rear door jamb switch on 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis?

The rear door trim panel should be removed first in order to service the rear door ajar switch. Then unplug the two electricity connectors to the switch. Take off the screw that is connecting the door ajar switch. And lastly, re-install by reversing what you did when you took it out.
