How to Service the Rear Bench Seat Backrest Seat Cover on 2009 Ford E-150?

The first step to service the rear bench seat backrest cover requires users to utilize an appropriate tool to free detachable safety belt anchors from seats when they are equipped. The seat mounting latches serve as both bench seat risers but a seat latch striker must be removed from the seat when the latches cannot be released. Pull the two seat latch release straps to detach the rear seat, and afterward remove the ten bolts and two risers from the seat cushion frame and secure them to 51 Nm (38 lb-ft) torque when replacing. Media-equipped vehicles require users to detach the safety belt anchor bolt followed by bolt installation at 60 Nm (44 lb-ft) torque. All J-clips must be removed from the backrest cover rear section before you remove the inner cardboard panel which is located within the backrest structure. To gain access to the safety belt retractor anchor bolt in the seat cushion use the first step by releasing the cushion cover rear J-clips. After that remove the center safety belt anchor bolt(s), pass the safety belt(s) through the seat cushion then secure the bolts at 75 Nm (55 lb-ft). First extract the two screws together with safety belt guide cover and then separate both safety belt covers if the seat type matches a four-passenger bench design. The safety belt retractor cover should be removed though both retractor covers need to be taken out from a 4-passenger bench seat. If equipped, remove the armrest. When freeing the foam pads from retainers users must handle the process carefully to avoid damaging the pads; backrest cover removal requires inner J-clip disengagement followed by cover inversion up to the retainers before separating them during ongoing inversion steps which expose the safety belts. When ready to install the system double-check that the belt webbing remains untwisted together with safety belt access for occupants before proceeding from step one to install. The reverse procedure will reinstall everything.
