2009 Ford E-250 Camshaft Position Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the Camshaft Position Sensor on 2009 Ford E-250?
A: Service of the Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor begins by uninstalling both the Air Cleaner (ACL) and the ACL outlet pipe. The CMP sensor electrical connector must be disconnected while you also remove the bolt securing the CMP sensor. Check the O-ring seal for damage then get a new one before you install it while applying clean engine oil to the O-ring seal. The CMP sensor installation requires a 10 Nm (89 lb-in) torque value when tightening the bolt before performing a reverse method to complete the sensor replacement.
