Secure the retaining nut between the power liftgate rod and liftgate by applying threadlock to its threads. Then install it with 11 Nm of torque (97 lb-in). After taking out the power liftgate rod-to-bracket bolt and power liftgate rod assembly, you need to install them with a torque of 30 Nm (22 lb-ft). Conclude the repair by completing the reverse procedures followed by power liftgate landing.
