How to remove the front floor Center Console Base on 2009 Ford Explorer?

Begin by moving front seats all the way to their rear position before starting removal of the front floor console. First you need to take out both rear bolts for the left-hand (LH) and right-hand (RH) of the front floor console. As a next step extract the selector lever bezel while you should open the front floor console stowage door by raising it upward. You must unscrew the two screws which hold the front floor console finish panel before taking it off. Start by detaching electrical connectors from the front floor console then remove the two screws which maintain its connection to the instrument panel. Unfasten the LH and RH pushpin retainers and extension trim panels from both sides. To start the procedure remove bolts found in the center of both the LH and RH front door panels before drawing the floor console backward. To reinstall the unit follow the opposite sequence of removal steps while placing each retaining clip into the corresponding adjacent holes.
