How to service and repair the Trunk Lid Lift Support on 2009 Ford Taurus X?

In order to service the trunk lid lift support, loosen the LH quarter trim panel access cover and unclip support with motor assembly. Take off the retaining nut, threadlock, and tighten to 11 Nm. Take away the mounting bracket nuts, screw to 30 Nm and replace parts to start the power liftgate.
