To service the brake light switch, remove the electrical connector and press the plunger by using a force of 4-12 N (1-3 lb) force on the brake pedal. Turn the switch 45 degrees clockwise to take it out. To install, do not touch the brake pedal assembly and turn the switch 45 degrees against clockwise then reconnect.
