How to service the front ABS sensor on 2009 Lincoln MKZ?

Service of the front ABS sensor begins by putting the vehicle in NEUTRAL position on a hoist. Start the procedure by removing both retainers then placing the fender splash shield to the side. The first task involves the ABS sensor electrical connector coming out while also removing the two bolts which secure the harness bracket. The installation requires both bracket-to-wheel knuckle bolt tightening to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft) and bracket-to-body bolt tightening to 7 Nm (62 lb-in). Disassemble the front ABS sensor bolt from the knuckle then extract the ABS sensor before installing the new sensor which needs proper torque tightening to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft). Execute the installation by performing removal in reverse order.
