The battery clamp needs to be disconnected from the distributor plates after completing the disconnect of the starter motor solenoid electrical connector and releasing the battery cables from the clips. After disconnecting the transaxle housing ground cable you must separate the positive battery cable while removing its cable tie. The vehicle needs lifting and providing support. Next disconnect the electrical connectors of the starter motor followed by removing the shorting bar cover. Remove the positive battery cable accessory using the cable nut along with the connector before taking out both battery connectors. The installation of these parts requires performing the removal steps in the reverse order. The vehicle needs to drive 16 km (10 mi) or more until the adaptive strategy relearning completes after battery procedure.
