Ford Contour Fan Motor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service the radiator cooling fan motor on Ford Contour?
A: The service procedure for radiator cooling fan motor starts by removing the battery and then applying vehicle lifts for support. The service on the radiator cooling fan motor begins with the removal of both the radiator splash shield and the air conditioning accumulator which needs to be placed aside. First disconnect the electric connector from the fan resistor before lowering the vehicle. First disconnect all cables connecting to the fan motor then pull out the wiring harness from the fan shroud. The motor fans and shroud assembly should be removed once all nuts are taken off and the entire assembly can be pulled out. When installing the components you should perform the removal process in reverse order.
