  You must disable the fire suppression system before working on the Transmission Position Switch/Sensor of 4R70E/4R75E to eliminate significant personal injury. When the vehicle is situated on a hoist in neutral position perform the cable and TR sensor connector removals. Begin by removing the bolts from the TR sensor before extracting the sensor from its place. Begin installation of the TR sensor by positioning it correctly then loosely install the bolts with the manual control lever set to neutral position. Insert the TR Sensor Alignment Gauge to properly position the slots of the TR sensor. The installation must proceed by applying torque to the screws at 9 Nm (80 lb-in) in a circular order to prevent damage. When placing the manual lever in (D) position proceed with connecting the selector lever cable before tightening it up to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft). Connect the TR sensor electrical wires then proceed by enabling fire suppression system operation following all required safety instructions to stop injuries.
