Service and repair of the hood latch begin with setting the air cleaner assembly to the side and unfastening the hose clamp and screws. The radiator grille sight shield requires removal after disconnecting the electrical connector and pulling out the pin-type retainers. Service the hood latch by removing first the bolts from it then disconnecting the cable while removing last the retaining screw. The installation requires a reverse order of removal steps followed by lowering the hood to check hood latch alignment.
