Evaporator is one of the significant and dependable parts, which contributes to the comfort of the car's cabin considerably. The present Evaporator installed under the dashboard works through Aluminum tubes and Fin to absorb heat of the air to be used to cool and de-humidify the interior of Ford E-250. It has been through some changes in past versions but the basic construction means that it can fit all E-250 models of different generations. The Evaporator not only makes the car more energy efficient and improves the safety of passengers through reduction of dampness that can result to formation of mould and bad smells. Such problems as leakage of Freon and blockage may affect the operations of the Evaporator, hence the need for check ups. What makes the Evaporator unique in automotive industry is the strong framework of product and its durability which ensures it can be used for quite some time. This Evaporator has been designed to blend perfectly into the Ford E-250 model; it is branded as a quality and inventive product. In all, the Evaporator is a part that boosts the automotive value to make it the gem in the Ford E-250 statement.

Ford E-250 Evaporator Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to service and repair the evaporator core on Ford E-250?
    A:
The first step is to recover refrigerant from the system while also disconnecting the battery. Throughout the process of servicing evaporator cores in vehicles with 4.6L, 5.4L or 6.8L engines you should first remove air cleaner assembly and battery and battery tray while properly removing and tightening battery tray bolts to 28 Nm (21lb-ft) before reinstalling. The bolt and clamp for the oil filler tube should be removed first until it reaches 10 Nm (89 lb-in) tightness during reinstallation. Disassemble the condenser fittings before discarding the O-ring seals while final tightening both condenser connections to 39 Nm (29 lb-ft). The junction box bracket bolts and the junction box bracket need to be removed from 6.0L diesel engine vehicles before reinstallation with a torque of 28 Nm (21 lb-ft). Before replacing remove engine cover before performing the following tasks. Then loosen the charge air cooler tube clamps and tighten them to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft). To start the procedure disconnect the wiring harness and ground wire as well as the electrical connector. Afterwards separate the CAC tube and oil fill tube bolts before disconnecting the oil fill tube at the valve cover. First separate the corner nuts for retaining the MAP sensor system components. Then remove the CAC tube with the oil fill tube along with its supporting bracket before placing them to the side. The installer should disconnect the condenser fittings before discarding O-ring seals and applying 8 Nm (71 lb-in) torque on torques during reinstallation. Unscrew the washer reservoir filler tube before disconnecting the evaporator outlet fitting where you need to discard the O-ring seal for installation at 39 Nm (29 lb-ft) torque. The technician should disconnect both the high-pressure cutoff switch electrical connector and the compressor manifold and tube suction fitting. The technician will discard the O-ring seal before tightening the fitting to 47 Nm (35 lb-ft) and the screw to 2 Nm (18 lb-in). Disassembly of the suction accumulator requires discarding its O-ring seals in vehicles that feature auxiliary A/C systems. The evaporator inlet fitting should be disconnected after screw removal of both the fitting and the O-ring seal while tightening the fitting to 18 Nm (13 lb-ft). Remove the screws then the evaporator housing support bracket followed by the evaporator core cover that needs removal of five screws and four supplementary screws. The evaporator core removal process ends but the installation follows the reverse order while using new O-ring seals and adding the correct amount of clean PAG oil to the refrigerant system. End all procedures by conducting evacuations then leak inspections to charge the refrigeration system.
