How to service and repair the power-fold seat motor for the rear seat on Ford Edge?

The first step for power-fold seat motor repair of the rear seat involves retrieving the affected 40 percent or 60 percent seat. First detach the two screws that secure the outboard side shield at the lower position. Start by removing the rear seat power fold motor by unscrewing its two screws that fasten the motor. Pull the cable housing free from the recliner before turning the cable end to allow TAB and slot on the lever to separate the cable. Detach the cable then take out the power fold motor from its place. The installation of the new motor should follow backward the steps which were used for removal.
