How to service and repair the Shift Knob on Ford Edge?

In repairing MKX shift knob, pull off the selector lever trim ring and center console trim cover. Unscrew the TCS electrical connector, pop out the shift knob trim covers and examine the knob. Install new shift knob and trim covers (some are damaged, replace and then install the new parts, and wiring and placement).
