How to service the rear shock absorber on Ford Escape?

Removal of rear quarter trim panel and wheel is required to service the rear shock absorber. Suspension: suspend, and change the upper shock nut and bushing and tighten with 40 Nm. Install the lower nut and install to 175 Nm tight. Install new components and perform in accordance with torque requirements.

How to service the shock absorber on Ford Escape?

In order to service the shock absorber take off the rear quarter trim panel, wheel and tire. Replace the upper shock absorbent parts discarding the old ones, and tighten the new ones to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft). Take off the bottom elements, loosen some new elements to 175 Nm (129 lb-ft) and then repeat the removal process in the opposite direction.
