How to service and repair the antenna assembly on Ford Escort?

To service the antenna assembly, take off the radio chassis and the console panel. Unattach the lead of the antenna, reconnects with a piece of wire and takes out the antenna lead of the harness. Unscrew the mounting screws and then pull out the antenna. To install, take the steps of removal back.
