How to service and repair the accelerator cable on Ford Excursion?

To fix the accelerator cable, you need to hold the pedal, unclip the cable between the pedal and shaft and close the air cleaner outlet. Take the splash shield off, unplug the pushpin and draw the cable through. Disassemble it, connections to throttle body and then remove it. Install new cable by re-arranging these processes.
