How to service the hood latch on Ford Excursion?

To service the hood latch, first mark the position of the hood latch and then remove the bolts. Then, detach the release cable out of the latch and then the cable conduit and cable. After all these have been done, take out the hood latch. Installing is just a matter of reversing the uninstallation.
