How to service the front Power Window Motor on Ford Explorer Sport?

The front door window motor service process starts by removing the front door trim panel and front door speaker according to a specific order of screw removal and connector disconnection and speaker removal steps. The electrical connector of the front door window regulator motor must be disconnected and the water shield should be removed before proceeding. Drill a 13 mm (0.52 in) hole through the door sheet metal following the guideline from the door metal locator before removing front door window regulator motor bolts. When installing replace the door glass according to the removal steps and cycle the door glass to verify correct drive mechanism engagement.
