How to service the water pump on Ford Explorer Sport?

To service the water pump, drain the engine cooling system, remove the accessory drive belt and the idler pulley and disconnect the heater and the lower radiator hoses. Then do away with the water pump pulley and pump. Wash the sealing surfaces and reverse the removal of the procedure to install.
