Clean both the machined surfaces of the differential housing and rear axle housing until they are oil-free before installing a new continuous silicone sealant bead onto the differential housing cover. Sealant application should take place within 15 minutes before install so that new application of sealant can be avoided. The operating team needs one hour of sealing time before the lubricant addition process can begin. You should position the differential housing cover then fasten it with all 10 differential housing cover bolts. The rear axle requires 118 ml (4 ounces) of friction modifier before receiving 2.54 liters (5.37 pints) of rear axle lubricant for which you will install the filler plug. Finally, lower the vehicle.
