How to Properly Maintain and Fix a Throttle Position Sensor in a Ford F-150?

The first step to maintain and fix the Throttle Position Sensor involves disconnecting the battery ground cable. Unplug the Throttle Position (TP) sensor electrical connector after which you can remove the screws holding the TP sensor in place then slide it out. The new or repaired TP sensor installation requires following the reverse procedure to fasten it securely.
