Provide assistance to the windshield glass when cutting the adhesive beginning at each corner. When reinstalling the windshield users should position tape at the stops to achieve alignment. Fit the new windshield onto the adhesive bead while adjusting the stop blocks through centering and marking the alignment points with tape or grease. Remove the glass and moulding assembly after dry-fitting while repairing any pinch weld corrosion that affects the structure of the vehicle. The pinch weld area needs thorough cleaning and the glass should keep its original urethane adhesive layer to perform the bonding procedure. The new windshield glass requires internal cleaning with extra focus on the blackened border followed by proper glass primer application according to manufacturer guidelines. Dedicate at least 6 minutes for primer drying time before proceeding. A high-ratio caulk gun should be used together with the specified length of a cut urethane adhesive applicator tip to consistently apply adhesive to the trimmed bead while maintaining gapless application. Place the windshield glass into position within ten minutes after adhesive application while maintaining window openings to stop air pressure from distorting the bond area. The urethane adhesive needs one hour minimum curing time until you should inspect for air and water leaks.
