The front wheel and tire assembly must be taken out as the first step before servicing the front fender liner of the Five Hundred and Montego. Start by removing all 2 fender splash shield screws and then extract the 7 left-side scrivets on the fender splash shield or the 11 right-side scrivets. The first step to uninstall the fender splash shield is removal of all its components. The procedure for putting in the new fender splash shield entails repeating all steps that were used in removal.
