How to service and repair the headlamp dimmer switch on Ford Flex?

The service and maintenance of the headlamp dimmer switch requires starting with the removal of the steering column shroud. After detaching the four nuts you can lower the steering column using proper caution before tightening the nuts to 18 Nm (159 lb-in) for reinstall. You should first disconnect the multifunction switch electrical connector then remove the two securing screws from the multifunction switch. During multifunction switch reinstallation fasten the screws at a torque value of 3 Nm (27 lb-in). The reverse steps of the removal procedure should finish the installment process.
