In order to service the headlamp dimmer switch, remove the steering column shroud and lower the steering column tightening it to 18 Nm on re-installation. When replacing the multifunction switch connector, disconnect the connector, screw out the connector, and tighten the screws to 3 Nm. Installation needs to be reversed.

Pull the dimmer switch out of the back by pulling the tabs. After release of the tabs, disassemble the dimmer switch. The only thing to do to install a new switch is to do all these steps in reverse.
